Is there any holidays in Africa that aren't celebrated in the U.S.? Do you know if Africa ever won it's freedom from another country? I hope you're having a wonderful summer break!

There are lots of holidays that aren't celebrated in the US that they have here for example: John Chilembwe Day which celebrates the guy that fought for independence in Malawi, Freedom Day which celebrates when Malawi came from a dictatorship to democracy. July 6th is Malawi's independence day and Malawi won it's freedom from Britain.
